Looking forward to enriched functionality. Tough call…how does that score compare to the average at her HS? She has until Feb 1 to report the score. I apologize, I deleted the text containing the hyperlink. University of Michigan is one of the top universities of the world, a diverse public institution of higher learning, fostering excellence in research. • Let’s keep them separate as this thread is specific to the announcement of the ED option, while the other one is the thread for those applying early.
  • When I click on the Upgrade Plan, I don’t see a very fine print link to continue with a free plan.
  • An MBA just isn’t particularly hard, at least compared to STEM.

I linked this thread in the original post in the other thread. I was bummed to hear about this actually. My 2026 grad will apply EA but does not want to ED…and this will make it harder! But…that’s already the case at so many other schools. I don’t know with 100% certainty but I’m almost positive if you see the triggers, then you have that feature.

Second, EA acceptances will run the gamut, in terms of statistical profiles. Every year, for the last umpteen years, there are always complaints from many of the “4.0/1,600” applicants who are deferred to RD. What will happen though will be about a week before the release, computer’s will show changes in the portal. Some people are locked out, icons change, color changes etc. On the Monday of the release its like their loading the results.

Happy to chime in if helpful. Similar program is recognized as most competitive admit at Penn. Likely, they will admit a very small cohort – like at Penn.

  • Thanks for the data as always!
  • How to get “real” information that Michigan uses?
  • I think “demonstrated interest” is low priority to a Michigan admissions officer, but EA is only one way to express interest in attending.
  • I think that has more to do with undergraduate degree vs. MBA than it does Michigan vs. Wharton.
  • After an individualized and comprehensive review of your application to the University of Michigan, we regret that we are not able to offer you a place in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts for fall 2023.

Colleges & Universities

I will interact with my project team in Asana. Senior stakeholders will have access to the primary Asana project and be assigned tasks in Asana. After an individualized and comprehensive review of your application to the University of Michigan, we regret that we are not able to offer you a place in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts for fall 2023. I would like to assure you that your application was reviewed very carefully and given every possible consideration. And also every year, some of those “4.0/1,600” applicants that have been deferred, will scream “yield protection! ”, even though there are many “4.0/1,600” applicants that are accepted in EA.

I think last year the first batch was on October 7th? Usually they send out LSA decisions first and then to my understanding, most engineering students get their decisions later around mid-November. Let’s keep them separate as this thread is specific to the announcement of the ED option, while the other one is the thread for those applying early.

And Also has the possibility to backup versions internally and externally. Since everyone is applying everywhere, hopefully more seats will open up for your child. I posted the cds above for what they are looking for BUT, Not everything is written in stone.

Hi @Richard_Sather , I’m investigating the Notes view tab and checking to see if any staff are using it already. IF possible ASANA team has to benchmark some tools that are in the market insted of creating everything from zero. Now this is perfect to capture actionable MOM.

University of Michigan

If 100 applied, maybe not so good news. It may be worth noting that acceptance rates do not factor into USNWR rankings (even if some people mistake them for a proxy for prestige). But some who hire like @HPuck35 may be wary of engineering + business bachelor’s degrees. Save your money (sending official reports costs $) and self report.

Anyone using Microsoft Loop in conjunction with Asana?

Is there a way to only alert the person who was assigned to the task that its overdue? Right now it triggers for everyone on the ticket, which is a bit confusing. I am using Loop with increasing frequency as a supplement to Asana. Admittedly, I am an early adopter in my org for Loop. Our org used both Loop and Asana recently when running a 4-month RFP project and it worked very well. Loop is essentially MSFT’s version of Notion. I only suggested for @Richard_McConnell to consider deprecating Loop since it sounded like it was in its early days of adoption.

Introducing Project Notes!

Starting this fall, UMichigan has introduced the Early Decision option for applicants. This is the official thread for those applying EA/ED to UMichigan. Additionally, the university will offer two new first-year undergraduate admitting programs. Hi @Richard_McConnell , there are various ways to take meeting notes using Asana and turning them into actionable tasks. I would consider deprecating Loop now that it’s users are still new to it, and instead show them ways of how to use Asana instead, so you have everything centralized within one tool, and not fragmented. New for 2025 Apply directly to the Ross School of Business.

4.35 GPA weighted, 3.8-something unweighted (all A’s after freshman year in tough classes, three B’s as a freshman). 8 AP courses (Calc AB and Econ related to his major). Varsity athlete at highly ranked large suburban Chicago school, decent extracurriculars, lots of volunteer and progressive work experience. A dual business/engineering degree might prepare one for a business job within an engineering company. One always needs to determine what kind of career they want and prepare themselves the best they can for that career.

If you don’t go this route make sure your classes transfer cleanly otherwise you will be taking those over. Math /science they are picky about. They are nice people so just ask for guidance. Many of the students currently on the UM-Ann Arbor campus entered as transfer students.

New triggers for Rules: “Due date is approaching” and “Task is Overdue”

So, if there are roughly 65,000 +/- EA apps (no one knows how many, so just a pure guess) and only 7,500 +/- (guess) students are accepted during EA, then 55,000-60,000 (guess) apps are postponed/deferred into RD. I’m reading through these threads and seeing recommendations to contact admissions officers and have high school college counselors reach out on a student’s behalf as well. We would be happy to do that if it would help his chances. The one clarification I would want is whether the 55+ hours need to be post high school.

In other words, will your AP or dual enrollment classes count to that total or do you need 55 hours in addition to those. What are your other acceptances? I would not think that offer would be very desirable, unless you were in state for Michigan. So this seems new for this year. I would directly talk to Michigan transfer department. They are very very picky on what classes actually transfer over from other universities.

University of Michigan Early Action / Early Decision Class of 2030 Official Thread

Has anyone who has applied received their portal? We have been waiting a bit now. Happy to wait just wanted to check to make sure nothing is wrong. But… With close to 100,000 apps these day’s it’s a very difficult school to get into. I lurked on the UMich boards last year to glean a bit of information and you and your colleagues, including Sushiritto, were incredibly helpful, patient, and supportive of the many people seeking advice and information. Thank you for participating again this year and I look forward to your insight in the EA process.

It’s a great option if you know that the University of Michigan is one of your top choice schools. The… How to get “real” information that Michigan uses? Look at section C and like C5-C7. Wealth of information on statistics, GPA, Sat/Act scores and chances of getting in. Do this for every school your applying to. We’ve been operating under the premise that about 50% of TOTAL acceptances (EA + RD) take place in the EA decision/pool.
